About The Foundation

Golf is the game loved and played by millions of people around the world.

Known for its beauty, honour and challenge it was formerly only accessible to the very elite of society. Over the years, golf has become more accessible to many and has grown into a multimillion dollar industry that has crossed many barriers of discrimination, such as race, religion, gender and class.

Nowhere is this more celebrated than in South Africa – yet just beneath the surface, are a group of people for whom very little has changed.

For years caddies have been an essential part of the game, yet they have been viewed as ‘informal’ workers by most. As such they have been denied basic workers’ rights, no sick leave, no paid rest and no secure monthly income.

The call is to everyone who loves the beautiful game of golf- to please respond. May we all ascribe dignity, afford simple human rights and equality to caddies in South Africa and help us find the fair way for caddies.

Our mission is to seek ways to provide poverty relief, ensure protection of family stability, implement health care services, and provide education and training programmes.
